Community Service
As men of Omega, we are ever mindful of the larger task of upholding the four cardinal principles of our beloved fraternity: Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift which serve as our guiding light for Men of Omega and for the communities in which we raise our families and work.
I wanted to share the importance of our Community Service Budget. The critical elements of this budget include a male mentoring program for at-risk youth, Thanksgiving projects to feed the needy, toys and cloths for disadvantaged youth at Christmas, scholarships for youth in our community and our summer camp for young boys that is hosted by the Sixth District. If you cannot participate in our fundraising events and would like to make a small monetary contribution, then you can choose to donate either $5.00, $10.00 or more to help our programs. Please select the Donate button below to help us in our endeavors.

Greetings to Brothers in Omega and Friends of our Beloved Fraternity,I greet you in the name of the Supreme Basileus of the Universe. I have been elected to serve as the Basileus of the Iota Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated. The Iota Iota Chapter and the Sixth District had the honor of hosting the 76th Grand Conclave July 22-29, 2010 downtown Raleigh. This ends planning and coordinating that spanned the course of three years with the final twelve months being the most intense. By all accounts, this was one of the most successful ever hosted in Omega by having events and activities for kids, Quettes, the Brothers and our guests. This Grand Conclave set a number of firsts, some of which I will list below:
It is estimated that over 15,000 Brothers and friends of Omega were in Raleigh and injected over $7 million dollars in the economy over the course of the week. Downtown merchants posted record sales, often notching sales of 300% to 500% above their normal weekly averages....and in many cases these numbers were above prior record sales. My Brothers, now is the time for us to not sit idle, but build upon the success of the conclave as we reposition our chapter in the community and with the Brotherhood over the next year. The rebuilding is strengthening our community ties, community focus and leveraging the success of the 76th Grand Conclave. This will bring focus on our Social Action Programs, all community projects and programs and our chapter programs that are focused on supporting the Brotherhood.
We must let the light of Omega burn brilliantly on the Iota Iota Chapter, a chapter with a rich history of public service and service to the fraternity dating back to its beginnings in April 1944. The chapter counts amongst its members Brothers that have held appointed or elected positions in various organizations and public office (city, county, and state levels). Additionally, Iota Iota has a strong service record to Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated with its members serving as elected or appointed leaders for the Sixth District , Omega Life Membership Foundation and the Supreme Council and its committees.
We are ever mindful of the larger task of upholding the four cardinal principles of our beloved fraternity: Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift which serve as our guiding light for Men of Omega and for the communities in which we raise our families and work.
